Svetlana McGrath ARNP DNP IBCLC
Svetlana McGrath has a Doctorate in Nursing Degree and for the last 9 years she has been working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner providing care to infant patients and their parents in various settings: labor and delivery, post-partum, newborn nursery, pediatric units, NICU, and lactation outpatient clinics. Additionally, Svetlana is an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant and has training in physical therapy and massage. She has been recognized as one of the leading specialists in tongue-tie evaluation and tongue-tie release/frenotomy procedures at Seattle Childrens hospital and successfully has performed close to 1000 procedures.
Svetlana attributes her expertise and knowledge in the field of newborn care and lactation to working alongside with her wonderful colleagues in Neonatology, Pediatrics and Lactation at Seattle Children’s Hospital, Overlake Medical Center, Providence Regional Medical Center, and Valley Medical Center and thousands of infants and families she worked with over the last 9 years. Svetlana is very blessed by being mentored by Dr O’Hara, the guru of lactation education and frenotomy procedures in Washington state and learning from Dr Ghaheri and Dr Hazelbaker. Of course, she could not have done it without her husband and her two beautiful children who taught her how to breastfeed them all the way up to 2.5 years of life.

René Gruzensky RN BSN IBCLC
Has had her Bachelor nursing degree for the last 37 years and has worked with mothers and babies most of her career. She did lactation training in 1992 to be a better postpartum nurse and quickly realized she had a passion to help families in their baby feeding journey. She became Internationally Board Certified in Lactation in 2003 and specializes in hands on support for infants and new parents.
René strives to make every encounter a memorable one. She says “Right after birth those memories last a life time, everyone deserves as good of memories as possible.” She approaches every challenge with kindness and compassion.
Her 35+ years of clinical experience includes working inpatient and outpatient in hospitals, and home visits.
She has helped train many other lactation consultants. She is highly trained in evaluation of tongue restrictions and other latch issues. René realizes that each family is different and emphasizes the importance of tailored specific care to meet your needs. She believes that parents are the experts in the care of their infants and works with families to achieve goals based on individual expectations and values.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and grandkids.
Seneca Rose IBCLC
I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with advanced training. Prior to that, I spent many years as a CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor) and over a decade as a peer counselor with La Leche League International.
I am a mama to 4 unique, creative and hilarious teens/young adults.
When I’m not hanging out with your babies or mine, I love to spend time adventuring outdoors by land (hiking, climbing, mountain biking) and by sea (paddleboarding, surfing, lazy river floats). I love coffee and chai in equal measure and I can’t imagine life without music.
My personal struggles with breastfeeding sparked my passion for lactation work. Each baby came with their own set of challenges and I remember so well how overwhelming and emotional the postpartum or “4th trimester” time was. Skilled, empathetic lactation support and making connections with other parents experiencing the same struggles helped me through some tough times! As I’ve worked with families over the last 15+ years, they have taught me that supporting a parent’s emotions about feeding their baby matters just as much as hands-on lactation help. I’ve learned that compassionate, attentive listening makes as much difference as a latch check.
Maya Angelou brilliantly said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” I know what a world of difference it made in my own life to feel heard and supported in my postpartum era and my hope is to pass that on to every client I have the privilege to work with.
